Thank You

Well, here we are at last.

Nine months later and Kay’s story is finally told to its end. Would you believe once upon a time I thought this was only going to be ten chapters long? Watched that one fly right on past sometime back in summer. Oops. Was about that time that I realized I was in this for the (very) long haul.

And looking back from the other side, I have to say I enjoyed every second of it. I learned quite a lot, was reminded of quite a lot more and got to share the result with the world. For all of the ups and downs of this past year (understatement of the century right there) it gladdens me to know that I’ll be able to look back on this and smile.

But the thing that humbles me the most is all of you. Yes you, the ones reading this, the people who took the time to read, comment on and share this long, winding journey with me. It means the world to me and I can only hope you enjoyed the trip as much as I did. To you I say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading.

So, what happens next, you might be wondering? Well, for a start, I have a completed manuscript now. Not quite sure what I’m going to do with it yet but I have ideas and I’ll do my best to keep you all appraised of them as I figure things out.

What I am sure about is that I really want to do this again. A strict deadline has done wonders to keep me focused and I see no reason to stop now. Possibly because I’m a madman but I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Either way, I’m going to need some time to get it properly planned out first but rest assured that I will be back for another go round. Keep an eye on this space and on my twitter (@BQWriting) for updates. I hope you will join me again for the next go around.
